Stella's First Christmas

Well, the bad news is that the holidays are over (almost over for us, actually - Orthodox Christmas is on Monday) and it's back to work... The good news is that we had a wonderful Christmas and New Years! We certainly hope that all of you did as well and that the New Years brings you health, wealth, and happiness!

Stella continues to grow up at an alarming rate - she skipped right past her 9 month clothes for the most part and is now into her 12 month stuff! She can say "bottle" and "ball" now in addition to the ever popular "mama" and "dada". She crawls on all fours like a champ, can pull herself up to standing, and is threatening to walk any day now.

Have a look for yourself:
Christmas 2007

We spent Christmas in North Carolina shuttling between Nana and Pop-Pops place (that's Grandma and Grandpa Yakubik to those not yet in the know) and our own. The annual Christmas Eve party was a bit smaller than in some years past (just the seven of us) but was every bit as fun (and every bit as delicious). Chris and I got to go out to a movie for only the second time since Stella was born (I Am Legend - one thumb up and one thumb down) and even went out to dinner with Nick and Sarah. Everybody got plenty of wonderful presents, the kids at church put on a lovely little pageant, and in general everything was really great.

We spent New Years with our friends Sarah, Jeff and Courtney at their place in Florida and had a great time. Stella enjoyed herself with Sarah and Jeff's kids and really misses their company now that we are home. We also discovered that she loves the Wiggles - who knew! Here are a few photos of Stella from the trip:

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all, and we certainly hope to see everybody this coming year that we didn't manage to see last year.
